I do not fully understand why a country with such hard-working, resourceful people in a beautiful land brimming with high economic potential, a country with such a powerfully influential history has not excelled beyond the corruption it still faces today. World history and politics is far too complex for a foreigner visiting temporarily in any country to compare and make judgments of how and why; extreme poverty is undeniable there, but in the face of deficiency, Mexico has a lot to offer by the example of her people in the direction of efforts, faith, and the celebration of life. Travelling there, I learned so much respect for a country that has every capability to rise and be as wealthy and sufficient as any continent in the world today.

The best thing that travel does is exchange the recognition that in our hearts and souls we aren’t much different from each other anywhere we live. All countries and histories are interwoven. This is one Earth. One color affects another.
